Southeastern Health Partners names Keith Newnam CEO

Southeastern Health Partners announced healthcare industry executive Keith Newnam as its chief executive officer.

Southeastern Health Partners (SEHP) is a Clinically Integrated Network in the Upstate of South Carolina. SEHP is a joint venture between AnMed Health, Bon Secours St. Francis Health System, Self Regional Health System, and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System with over 2,500 providers and managing over 100,000 members in value-based healthcare.

“Keith brings years of experience in health care to Southeastern Health Partners, including expertise in overseeing Clinically Integrated Networks and Accountable Care Organizations,” said Dr. Dean Davis, chair of the SEHP Board of Managers. “We look forward to working with Keith to improve quality throughout the region.”

Newnam joins SEHP after serving for over 11 years with Bon Secours Mercy Health (BSMH). Most recently serving as the chief network integration officer for the Atlantic Group of BSMH, Newnam was responsible for the population health value-based programs for the Richmond, Va., Hampton Roads, Va., and Greenville, S.C. markets. This included the oversight of three Clinically Integrated Networks with over 1,000 providers and three Accountable Care Organizations with over 90,000 beneficiaries. Previously, Newnam served as the vice president of population health for Bon Secours St. Francis Health System in Greenville, S.C.

St. Francis executive representative for Southeastern Health Partners. He was the chairman of the Population Health Committee for SEHP.

Newnam joined Bon Secours Health System in 2009 and served in a variety of leadership positions, including quality assurance manager for the Epic™ electronic medical record implementation, laboratory and respiratory therapy integration program manager, compliant documentation management program enterprise manager, and as the Accountable Care Organization director of implementation and integration at the Health System Office in Marriottsville, Md.

Newnam joined Bon Secours Health System after 16 years of leadership and management with Shaw Industries. Newnam is a graduate of Averett University in Danville, Va., earning both his BBA and MBA. He is married with two daughters and currently resides in Moyock, N.C. His interests include boating, scuba diving, traveling, and woodworking.
